"CUCI THE MUSICAL LAST KOPEK"

17 March 2012, I has a chance to watch the Malay Musical at Istana Budaya. This is the first time I watch a live musical.

I have a chance visit to the back of stage and the musical until the end, my feeling and my mind was change. First, is the back of stage of the rest and changing room,there are many shirt of costumes are ready for the performer to get changing. Every of the costumes were important, without the costume, performer cannot present their musical successfully. Besides that, the design of stage and other props is also important. The design of stage let me feel marvel, for example the restaurant, the house, the office, mamak stall, rainbow staircase and other. All the things like light, sound, music and other are check closer and testing before perform to audience.  This let me feel that there are not easier to prepare a musical, and must not be lazy but reunion to fulfill their own job!

We was sit at the upper place that are far from the stage, so that I cannot see the expression of performer completely, but this are notinfluence me to continue watch their musical. This is because performer’s body language, conversation, song and changing of different background are attracting me well. I am also found that there has an English subtitle showing and this can let the audience more understand the musical as well.

In my opinion, Cuci the Musical Last Kopek is the story that about a Love, no matter is family love or couple love. The performer name Fairil, Jojo, C’ Tan and Khairuddin are orphan that take care by TokBii that stay at KampungBatu. There are quite naughty when small because climb tree and stole the fruit. Although they let TokBii punish with rotan after that, but they are still love and missTokBii much.

 The entitled of this musical is called Cuci the Musical Last Kopek, I think it is related to their work. Four of the main character has a company named “Cuci-cuci Services”. Their main work is washing the windows of restaurant and building. They have 43 contract with company but all was failed to continuous their contract. It is because they always make mistake when their work are processing such as C’ Tan try to courting C’ J ( CEO of WWO organized company), the staircase was fall down suddenly and shock the customer of restaurant.

The conflict of this story is once they get a chance to join the WWO competition, they are try to do their best and almost win the competition, but because of Wira using money to bribe Fairil and this lead to their team lost in the final competition. Although the purpose of Fairil is to let them have a better life but he is not respect with other brother. And because of Fairil selfish thinking, C’ Tan was not accepted and this matter lead to their relationships burst.Fairil was joining Wira’s company after that and other 3 of them do not haveleader to guide them.

Another conflict is when the rematch competition. The purpose of rematch is to showing who is the really winner! C’ J father, Tan Sri was tried to convince them to join the rematch without any excuse or reason. In the rematch, Fairil was save Khairuddin and C’ Tan life when Wira try to revenge. Finally, 3 of them wereforgivingFairil and their relationships became closer than before.

The content of Cuci Musical Last Kopek was a fun, modern, reality and love story. There has a lot of fun at the scene of Farah and Jojo, Khairuddin and C’J, Tan Sri and other. The quality of content and the expression of performer and other preparation related to stage is very important for the musical because the reaction of audience will straightly respond to their performance.
